    Position Summary

    Job Summary: The primary role of the New Business Development Manager is to contribute to the success of the company by bringing in new clients and selling our services, products, manufacturing capabilities and pellets to new clients. The New Business Development Manager reports directly to the Sr. Vice President of Development.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;

    • Furniture/Fixtures/ Equipment/ Manufacturing Services. 
    • Previous industry experience required.
    • Provide a state of the art customer service experience, positioning yourself as their desired one-stop-shop.
    • Actively engage in the generation of additional sales and service while performing daily sales and service routes within designated territory.
    • Develop new customers.
    • Maximize potential business with existing customers by promoting tooling and servicing capabilities.
    • Assist in developing long-range growth forecasts, strategies, business plans.
    • Participate in beneficial association functions and maintain relations with associated industry suppliers.
    • Report current competitive activities and assist in developing marketing solutions and strategies.
    • Maintain a current and accurate database of daily, weekly and monthly activities.
    • Processing necessary paperwork using required company systems.
    • Communicate effectively with customers and warehouse personnel.
    • Provides knowledge of product lines and applications to customer solutions.
    • Provide a state of the art customer service experience, positioning yourself as their desired one-stop-shop.
    • Schedule and hold face-to-face meetings with new and existing customers, learning about their business needs.
    • Conduct sales presentations each week with potential customers.
    • Educate yourself on, and continuously stay up to date with, Stanford Sonoma services and distribution offerings.
    • Participate in industry trade and home shows to promote Stanford Sonoma’s services, pellets, and product lines.
    • Ability to assess customer’s needs and suggest and upsell best solutions.

    • Follow up on existing issues and keep customers updated on the status of their orders
    • Work with inside sales and engineering to create competitive pricing.
