    Position Summary

     

    Vice President of IT manages the following aspects of

    • Make sure calls are being answered and handled appropriately
    • Make sure tickets are responded to and worked in a timely fashion
    • Prioritize tickets and calls based on business needs and demands
    • Make sure help desk team is trained on new technologies to support it
    • Make sure the help desk team creates documentation for ease of use
    • Make sure new items are created as standards are approved
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of the help desk team and coach them to achieve company goals
    • Set SLAs for help desk to achieve busin3ess goals and maintain a healthy relationship with the Owners
    • Make sure owners are pointed in the right direction for help they need
    • Signs-off on new panel creation
    • Train owners on how to find theft in store
    • Train owners on security for their BOH
    • Explain PCI compliance issues to owners
    • Act as final escalation point for all owner issues
    • Find ultimate point of failure for issues when we can’t verify if it is
    • * NCR
    • * ISP
    • * Chase
    • * Givex
    • Train operations team members (ROL/DOL) on how to properly use the technologies
    • Press NCR to speed up their resolution times with Dickey’s tickets


    Vice President of IT Manages the following within Infrastructure

    • Design processes for Firewall management
    • Design processes for MDM management
    • Create and enforce security policies to do the following
    • * Maintain data integrity
    • * Maintain email security
    • * Decrease vulnerabilities within the network
    • * Prevent loss of data due to catastrophic events (Server Crashes, Viruses…)
    • Design the network infrastructure for stores
    • Design Data repository for company use
    • Make sure equipment is monitored and issues are resolved with minimal impact to business
    • Make sure backup processes are in place
    • Plan for and evaluate any upgrades required to maintain security, data integrity, and overall performance of the network
    • Plan network for any office moves or redesigns
    • Plans for internet usage and makes sure business has needs met by ISP

    Vice President of IT manages the following with the offshore development team

    • Manages project deadlines to make sure developers hit target times
    • Analyze business needs for development
    • Translate business needs into user stories for developers
    • Evaluate new technologies with development team to keep websites on the latest secure and tested technologies
    • Manages efficiency of developers
      Approve objectives for each sprint
    • Get sign-offs and approvals from stake holders during sprints
    • Prioritize objectives based of business needs
    • Complete build/buy analysis for development needs
    • Enforce best design practices within development team
    • Enforce best documentation practices within development team
    • Facilitate best communications practices between development team and business
    • Do business analysis on products to come up with best practices in UX/UI design
    • Review UX/UI designs and approve or assist with redesign
    • Design database schema
    • Review database schema and search for any efficiencies
    • Make sure bandwidth of web servers is sufficient
    • Make sure servers are kept running consistently
    • Evaluate technologies of Dickey’s partners for integration with our technologies
    • * 3PV
    • * Credit Card Processors
    • * Distributors


    Vice President of IT manages the following with local yellowfin consultant

    • Prioritization of reports
    • Reports that need to be designed for new technologies (Inventory App, POS)
    • Make sure that data integrity is maintained within reports
    • Make sure that all new items are added to the database for reporting
    • Help to create reports by evaluating business needs

      Vice President of IT manages the following for Spark
    • Budget for Spark
    • Manages the creation of products for Spark
    • Manages repair pipeline for Spark printers
    • Manages support for Spark services and applications
    • Managing design for white labeling Spark
      Planning the launch of revenue producing applications
