Position Summary

 

Position Summary: This role is responsible for the comprehensive management and administration of the organization's employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, workers' compensation, and unemployment processes. This role ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and requires a proactive approach to utilizing resources effectively and driving initiatives to successful completion. Additionally, the position provides support for payroll processing as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Benefits Administration:

  • Oversee the daily operations of employee benefit programs, including enrollment, claims management, and invoice auditing.
  • Conduct thorough cost analyses and budgeting to optimize benefit offerings and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and present regular and ad-hoc reports on benefit utilization and related metrics.

Compliance Management:

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations concerning employee benefits and compensation.
  • Complete all required reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual submissions, in a timely and accurate manner.

Vendor Management:

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with benefits providers, ensuring vendors meet performance expectations and contractual obligations.

Claims Processing:

  • Manage the claims process by establishing and maintaining accurate case files, logs, and documentation.
  • Investigate job-related incidents and coordinate with employees, leadership, and healthcare professionals to resolve claims.
  • Assess and manage unemployment and workers' compensation claims, overseeing employer accounts related to these programs.

Payroll Support:

  • Serve as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely completion of payroll-related tasks and reporting.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with HRIS systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, ACA, and HIPAA.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and bring initiatives to closure in a timely manner.
  • Understanding of financial concepts and their application in benefits management.
  • Experience in the restaurant industry is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced office environment in Dallas.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus but not required.
