Wycliff Douglas Provisions, a USDA and SQF Certified meat manufacturing plant located in Mesquite, Texas, opened for business in 2022. Our mission is to deliver fresh and carefully prepared ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook meats to restaurants, retail stores and private label clients.

Position Summary

He/she will be asked to organize processes and resources for optimal and efficient operations.

 

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited, to:

  • Provide leadership, direction and execution of all quality safety functions on the plant floor.
  • Meet or exceed production goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Oversee food processing floor.
  • Monitor production to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards; make adjustments to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor product quality, make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality.
  • Monitor equipment for efficient and proper operations; take corrective actions quickly as necessary.
  • Ensure daily production targets are met or exceeded.
  • Source, interview, hire and train production team.
  • Prepare reports.

 

Education and/or experience include, but are not limited to

  • BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience supervising manufacturing teams in the food industry (preferably meat).
  • Background with product equipment in the food industry (preferably meat).
  • HACCP certification desired, but not required.

 

Skills and/or abilities include, but are not limited, to:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Strongly self-motivated and detail oriented.
  • Ability/willingness to spend time in cold temperatures.
