Position Summary

Position Overview: Develop and continually improve profitability via budgeting, financial projections, operating forecasts and enforcment of action plans for our manufacturing facility. This position has the opportunity to quickly grow and evolve into a multi-facility responsibility. 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to:

  • Analyze current financial performance and make recommendations towards financial optimization.
  • Identify areas for revenue opportunities and cost improvements, implement as agreed upon.
  • Present risks/rewards of various suggestions and plans; make recommendations towards obtaining goals and objectives.
  • Create, analyze and maintain financial spreadsheets and reports; for example, cash flow, income statements, declining budgets, trackers, etc.
  • Research all areas affecting profitability and take actions to ensure a profitable business. For example, managing labor and cost of goods (COGs).
  • Prepare accurate daily financial reports and forecasts, identifying opportunities to increase the bottom line and putting agreed upon action steps into reality quickly.
  • Validate recipe and product pricing accuracy, making recommendations and corrections as necessary.
  • Validate and approve invoices and expenditures for payment; including but not limited to purchases, payroll, benefits, etc.
  • Validate incoming funds/revenues to bank balances and cash flow needs; researching and resolving variances when necessary.
  • Maintain payment schedules ensuring compliance with agreements and cash flow objectives.
  • Identify and manage action items for self and others to obtain goals and objectives.
  • Set, track and maintain key performance indicators (KPI) and objectives.
  • Drill into data to ensure decisions are based on data, not emotion.
  • Build, manage and maintain healthy relationships with plant leadership, company leadership, accounting/purchasing/other internal departments and vendors and suppliers.

Pre-requisites and desired skills

  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Flexibility and willingness to jump in and solve problems even when outside of traditional role
  • Strong project management abilities desired
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field desired but not required with applicable previous work experiences
  • High level of commitment to quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability and willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures while also supporting other locations
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred
  • Experience with PowerBI preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel
